Honest to Goodness Plant Snacks aim to harness the natural power of whole, plant-based ingredients to provide specific health benefits.
Honest to Goodness Plant Snacks are made up of fruits, vegetables and advanced nutrients. Treats are minimally processed, formulated by veterinarians, and target specific health conditions in dogs. Each type contains one to three ingredients at the functional level, a science-based postbiotic and marine microalgae oil.
“Demand for plant-based pet treats has increased significantly in recent years, which is why we decided to develop a line of minimally processed, plant-based snacks that are free of common allergens that can be problematic for food-sensitive pets,” said Amy Cairy, vice president of marketing at WF Young. “These treats are easy to digest and deliver benefits with every bite, including keeping teeth and gums clean thanks to their crunchy texture. The Honest to Goodness Plant Snacks line includes:
- Happy Feet, made with flaxseed, apple, cinnamon and turmeric to support mobility
- Mellow Belly, made with pumpkin, cinnamon and chicory root to support digestive health
- Way to Glow, made with coconut, flaxseed and turmeric to support skin and coat health
- Golden Years, made with blueberries, carrots and broccoli to support the health of senior pets
- Good Vibes, made with chamomile, ginger and L-Tryptophan to provide calming comfort to pets
- Buddy Boost, made with cranberries, pomegranate and apple cider vinegar to support immune health
In addition to their health benefits, each treatment offers environmental benefits as they are made with sustainable, responsibly sourced ingredients from the United States. Honest to Goodness Plant Snacks are also free of synthetic additives, fillers and byproducts, according to WF Young. Treats are available in 8-oz bags, containing approximately 50 treats per bag.
