SEATTLE — Durkha Dog Chew announced on March 5 that it is about to open the first commercial-scale production facility for yak cheese chews in Nepal. The facility, expected to open in April, will produce 50 tons of yak cheese chews in the first six months of production and will double capacity to 100 tons per month within 12 months of opening.
The new facility gives Durkha control over the supply, production, quality and consistency of its chew chew products, and is built to scale for future growth, according to the company.
“I set out to provide healthy cheese chews for our fur babies around the world, and that dream came true through the dedication of my partner, and family,” said Neil Pokharel, chief executive officer at Durkha Dog Chew. “With the team’s unwavering commitment to product quality and perfection, we are proud to introduce chew chews that set a new standard in the industry.”
Durkha’s yak cheese chews are made with all natural ingredients and are intended as a more digestible, safer alternative to raw.
“We value the transparency and quality of products offered by Durkha, which is why we have maintained a successful partnership for many years,” commented a spokesperson at Mud Bay, a tenured retail partner of Durkha. “We look forward to the continued growth of this partnership.”
Durkha will be exhibiting at the Global Pet Expo in Orlando from March 20 to 22 at booth #1144.
