You are a dog owner, and your dog is a big part of the family. Like children, you want the best for them, but sometimes there may be some things that bother you about having a pet.
It’s no surprise that Forbes Advisor spoke with more than 10-thousand dog owners across the US and came up with a list of common themes, common pet peeves about dog ownership, or pet care.
Pets provide great comfort and great pleasure for owners, but there seem to be some common annoying parts of the gig.
The survey breaks down the answers from each state, and in New Hampshire, here are the top pet peeves about…well, your pets.
Finding a Dog Sitter
It’s the top pet peeve of not only dog owners in New Hampshire, but nationwide for 43 of the 50 states.
How do you find a good dog sitter when going out of town and your family or friends are not available. It is a difficult task and one that many people struggle with. Many do not want to put their dog in a kennel, for various reasons, but finding a loving home for a few days or a week can be very stressful.
Very barking
Dogs do bark, but constant barking is annoying for pet owners and anyone around the animal. It’s a behavior that’s annoying, and it’s the second-highest pet peeve among Granite State residents.
Excessive Pouring
The third top annoyance for dog owners in New Hampshire is dog hair. Dog hair gets all over your house, car, and clothes, but regular grooming can help keep that at bay, although many puppies don’t like to be brushed. It is the constant cleaning that is the crux of the problem.
If you own a dog, you may or may not agree with these as the biggest pet peeves, but usually one of these three is something that causes stress. It’s a good thing that your dog is so adorable, and that stress can be alleviated.
