The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County’s Pet Food & Supply Pantry is in urgent need of dry dog food donations due to the increased need in Pierce County.
By 2023, the shelter’s Pet Food & Supply Pantry distributed nearly 90,000 pounds of pet food to more than 7,000 community pets in need. This year, demand has doubled, putting even greater stress on pantry resources.
“As the cost of living rises, pet owners are faced with heartbreaking decisions—choosing between their own well-being and that of their beloved companions,” said Leslie Dalzell, chief executive officer at Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County. “We’re reaching out to our community and beyond for donations of dry dog food to help us make sure Pierce County’s pets get the food they need and stay with the people who love them.”
