Shipping technology company Shipster has appointed a new director of sales and partnerships to drive growth and recruit more clients, particularly in the pet care sector.
James Stockton is tasked with creating and building on key partnerships throughout 2024 and beyond, ahead of Shipster’s 10th anniversary. He previously held senior roles at AppLearn and AccessPay.
Shipster connects online retailers, eCommerce warehouses and distributors with more than 100 leading couriers. Once a buyer pays for an order, Shipster automatically creates shipments and courier bookings, generates tracking information and all shipping and customs documentation. Launched in 2015 by software firm Oddsphere, the company has grown to support more than 100 businesses including canine accessory supplier Bully Billows.
Stockton said: “Shipster is the best kept secret in shipping and logistics. To grow a business year after year organically from word of mouth and referrals is extraordinary. This success can be attributed to two things: highly customizable and flexible software at an accessible price, and exceptional customer service.
“I am excited about the opportunity to help further grow Shipster’s client base, build new partnerships and accelerate growth through 2024.”
Founder and managing director Tony Cheetham added: “The arrival of James could not have come at a better time. We have big ambitions to grow Shipster and double the number of customers and partnerships.
“James’ extensive experience working for technology companies and his shared passion for our goals make him the perfect candidate to join the leadership team and take the business to the next level.”
