ALEXANDRIA, VA. — The North American Renderers Association (NARA) announced on January 25 the appointment of Jennifer Wilson as EU-UK representative. Wilson replaces former representative Bruce Ross, who retired at the end of last year.
In her new role, Wilson will advocate for NARA and its members in the European Union and the United Kingdom, where she will support trade policy and the commercialization of manufactured goods abroad. He will also serve as the principal consultant for the association.
Wilson brings 27 years of experience from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to the US Embassy in London, and most recently served on the US Sustainability Alliance to support sustainability and regenerative agriculture policy initiatives — including those in conservation, water quality, soil erosion , eco-labeling and other areas — for the organization and its 25 member associations. He is also the principal at Trade Roots Consulting, which he founded after leaving his government post.
“Jennifer Wilson has earned an excellent reputation for her decades of experience managing a portfolio of complex policy issues at the US Embassy in London, including co-authoring the USDA’s annual European Biofuels Report. NARA is fortunate to have someone who so ably represents our interests in Europe,” said Dana Johnson Downing, senior vice president of international programs at NARA. “I have seen Jennie act many times in meetings with government and private sector officials in Brussels, London, and across Spain, so I knew he would start advocating for NARA.”
