THE Duchess of Sussex is hoping to raise a bumper crop of dog and chicken food, documents have revealed.
And Meghan has filed papers to trademark the initials of her new business American Riveria Orchard.
Papers filed last week with the US Patent and Trademark Office also reveal a new application to trademark the company’s floral logo.
The emblem has the company’s name written in fine gold script above the word Montecito – the celebrity enclave in California where the Duke and Duchess live.
Harry and Meghan own a rescue beagle called Mamma Mia and have a chicken coop in the mansion.
And the documents show that they have the trademark ARO for “Pet food; Edible pets; Bird seed”.
The Princess of Wales’ brother James Middleton owns his own high-end dog food firm called Hello Ella.
The application is reviewed by attorneys at the US government department to ensure that it does not conflict with any trademarks that have already been granted.
The couple also applied to trademark the name for pet feeding mats, along with food, clothing, cookbooks and gardening tools.
A new Instagram account for American Riviera Orchard announced the new business earlier this month.
It said the brand was “by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex” and included a link to an online mailing list.
A vintage-style video of Meghan cooking, and arranging flowers, was also added.
