Our Experience With The Litter-Robot 4 by Whisker
As a multi-cat household, often oscillating between kittens to adult cats, I’ve had my fair share of introducing new arrivals to their litter trays. Typically, we place separate litter trays in key areas of our home to encourage regular use before moving the trays to our basement out of sight. With Whisker’s Litter-Robot 4, cat litter remains accessible for all our cats all year round in our main area, ultimately preventing any accidents around the house.
Each of my five cats, all introduced to this litter box as adults, have adjusted well to the Litter-Robot 4 and are gradually leaving the litter trays in the basement. An interesting note: every cat, from my big fluff ball Toby to our smooth calico Annie, jumps into the Litter-Robot 4 from the ground but uses the exit step; it is fantastic for trapping any litter on the feet. When my cats were introduced to the Litter-Robot 4, I stopped the automatic cycling to allow small pieces of dirty litter to remain in the box, so each cat recognized this fancy robotic device as the new and improved option to garbage I encourage every new user to try this option while introducing your cat to the Litter-Robot first.
I used other smart cat litter boxes, which the cats eventually got used to. However, I was surprised to see the Litter-Robot 4 used after the first night. I suspect this is due to the small lights that automatically illuminate the bowl when it senses dim light or darkness. Small LEDs are directed directly into the bowl with a soft yellow color, so the lights will not be overwhelming even if the Litter-Robot 4 is sitting in a bedroom or bathroom.
So, we’ve concluded that it’s great for cats, but to give the Litter-Robot 4 another award, the auto-sensing cleaner, and sealed tray prevents any stray dog nose from finding its own. submerged in kitty litter – a blessing we are all thankful for. for.
