In poor areas overrun by strays, homeless animals are often overlooked by people who are too poor to take care of themselves. They lacked the resources to help, but this time, a kind person who came across a puppy in need posted his photo online and asked for help. DAR Animal Rescue saw the pole and drove straight. The puppy lives in a pile of trash under a park bench. He slept in dirt and garbage. He was dirty and cold, and understandably, scared.
When Ermioni, the founder of DAR, came, he looked at her. He grunted a little then whimpered. Her cries were heartbreaking. The pup knew he needed help but wasn’t sure if that was what Ermioni would provide. Ermioni lowers the camera so we can see her approach the little baby. He held out his hand hoping it would calm him down. Fortunately, the puppy accepted his touch. He stroked her little head to calm her down.
The skinny pup tried to get up but struggled to move. It scared Ermioni. Did he have issues because he was weak from hunger or was it more than that? The kind woman took a blanket from her car. He wrapped the puppy and carried him back to his car. The baby needs medical intervention and it can’t wait!
The puppy was taken to the animal clinic. He was covered in ticks and severely underweight. The rescue group’s goal is to get the puppy as healthy as possible and pray that he finds a forever home. If no one would post on social media, who knows what would have happened. While we all hope to do more, doing nothing can cost homeless lives. To see the puppy rescue, check out the video below.
