Top Breed Blog Posts of 2023
We enjoy a good breed-focused blog post to outline the highlights of a particular breed including why so many of us love this breed and how to keep them happy and healthy. Here are those best pet blogs about dog breeds we’ve posted this year!
- Great Pyrenees: Big Dog, Big Heart, Big Risk
It’s no wonder this dog made the list. As giant dog breeds, they are big-hearted and have a lot to love. One of our Parnell employees added a Pyrenees to their family, and we stopped by to see how he’s grown. Very beautiful!
2. Golden Retrievers: Loving, Beautiful, and Risk for Arthritis
The gold ones are one of the best dog breeds out there, and definitely one of the most popular, currently at #3 of the top breeds in the US We’ve provided a lot of information about this amazing breed, and it’s constantly being sought after by owners of Golden!
3. Rhodesian Ridgebacks: Regal, Athletic, Affectionate and At Risk for Arthritis
A little sleepy, this blog is a great resource for beautiful dogs. Many people don’t even know they exist. The trademark Rhodesian Ridgeback ridge is the distinctive striped markings on their back. This stripe is the defining characteristic of this breed. A Rhodesian’s “Ridge on their back” or “Ridgeback” is the hair that grows backwards from the rest of the dog’s coat.
4. Pitt Bull-Type Dogs: Strong, Loyal, Arthritis Risk
We’re celebrating October’s National Pit Bull Awareness Month with a post about these big, beautiful dogs. Surprisingly, they quickly became the most popular breed in the US Thanks to the increased adoption of Pitt Bull type dogs. There is more to this breed than many think. Check it out!
5. Labrador Retriever: Beautiful, Top Dogs with Great Arthritis
Since 1991, the Labrador Retriever has been the Top Dog according to the AKC. That changed in March of this year when the AKC named the French Bulldog the new #1 breed. But according to many people who use Glyde Mobility Chews, Labradors are the top breed for them. Labrador people are our kind of people!
6. German Shepherds
Our GSD audience is very loyal to their dogs, as their dogs are to them. They remain on our list as one of the top dog breeds. GSDs are intelligent, obedient and full of love. Those lucky enough to own one, know what a great dog they are.
