Yesterday, Monday, January 22, the House Agriculture and Rural Development Committee passed House Bill 1412, a bill with important protections for sporting and hunting dog breeders and enthusiasts by a vote of 9 to 4. HB 1412 can now be heard of the whole House at any time.
Please use our Take Action button to email your state representative today and urge him to SUPPORT HB 1412.
As previously reported, HB 1412 strengthens the standard of care for dogs of commercial breeders and dog brokers, retail pet stores, and animal rescue operations while ensuring hobby breeders, small service dog breeders for police and armed forces, and small sporting and hunting dog breeders are protected from the bureaucratic red tape involved in a commercial animal rescue business or operation.
Don’t forget to pass this alert on to your family, friends, and fellow sportsmen and ask them to also contact their state representative urging him to support HB 1412.
