Rose grew up in Hubbard and knew she always wanted to work with animals.

After graduating from the animal science program at Trumbull Career and Technical Center, she started working for several groomers in the Mahoning Valley, including Nails to Tails in Canfield and Dog Gone Clean in Hubbard.

After a few years of experience, Rose is ready to transform what she’s learned into her very own business.

Rose’s family celebrated a grand opening at Kiss My Mutt at 10 a.m. on Jan. 29 with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.

Where is Kiss My Mutt?

Pets are pampered, cleaned and groomed at Kiss My Mutt, which is located at 200 North State St. in Girard.

All breeds and varieties of dogs and cats are welcome.

At Rose’s shop, there are a lot of services available including ear cleaning, nail trimming, shaving and flea baths.

There’s a walk-in tub station that’s do-it-yourself for baths for animals and a walk-in station dedicated to nail trimming.

Kiss My Mutt is open for appointment any day except Sunday and Monday.

Kiss My Mutt is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9-5; noon – 8 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday.
