Pet Supplies Plus held its soft opening last Oct. 13 but will return with a grand opening celebration on October 28 and 29.

Pet Supplies Plus is the nation’s largest independent pet store. There are more than 700 locations in more than 40 states. The stores sell pet food, toys and supplies. The store in Freeport also features a full-service pet grooming and pet washing station.

Pet Supplies Plus is at 1866 S. West Ave., which is part of the redevelopment of The Meadows Shopping Center. Other stories there include Marshalls, Five Below, Maurices, Hibbetts Sports and Anytime Fitness.

Freeport Pet Supplies Plus will hold a two-day grand opening event on October 28 and 29.
What is the grand opening feature?
The store will offer free nail trims, a free scoop of dog or cat food with food purchase and a free scoop of cat litter with purchase. Mystery scratch-off card Oct. 28 and free Reford Naturals dog or cat food for the first 100 customers Oct. 29. Halloween photo station same day and in-store trick or treating. Raffle for a $250 gift card.
