COLUMBUS, Ind. — Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services (FCACS) will be giving away free dog and cat food through their Furry Friends Food Bank distribution this Thursday, April 18, from 4 to 5:30 pm at the Columbus Airport, 4770 Ray Boll Blvd. Pet food will be provided in the parking lot in front of the plane, Charlie 119.
The pantry tries to assist local community members in keeping their pets in their homes and out of shelters. Cat food is distributed in 4.5-pound bags and dog food in 14.5-pound bags.
Plan to stay in your cars and line up on the west side of the driveway for food to be brought to you.
This Thursday program is one of several FCACS initiatives designed as “use alternatives” to the shelter. Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services is the 501(c)(3) non-profit partner of Columbus Animal Care Services.
They will not be distributed during active thunderstorms but only if it is raining.
