HOBOKEN, NJ — Something fishy was unveiled in Hoboken on Tuesday — opening day for the long-awaited Angelo Seafood Market.
The store announced Tuesday afternoon, “Hey Hoboken! We’re excited to serve you. We’re open this Thursday 3/7 at 12! Let us know in the comments what you’d like to see in the fish case.”

Responses on social media included baby sardines, scallops, sea bass, salmon, shrimp, squid, blue crab, shrimp, and small neck clams.
The store will open in the middle of Washington Street’s main drag, on the former site of a UPS store.
It is owned by the owners of the Stingray Lounge, a bar/restaurant in the 1200 block of the same street.
“Just a few blocks down the street is where the concept started,” they say on their website. “Our flagship restaurant Stingray Lounge has been serving local oysters and hand crafted cocktails since 2013. A family owned and operated restaurant, The Fotenellis wants to share their passion for exceptional seafood in a different way.”
The store said early on that it will offer specialty seafood and prepared foods, from lobster rolls to fillets.
Angelo Seafood Market is located at 626 Washington St. Check out what they have to offer here.
