A family in New Jersey came upon a rare sight one hot summer morning.
The Basso family from Rockaway Township was shocked to find a family of black bears happily frolicking in their backyard pool! We’re glad the Bassos got the full visual treat on camera.

In this clip shared by the familywe saw the mama bear and her 5 cubs thoroughly enjoying the refreshing pool and other play accessories hanging out in the backyard. So while some of the bear cubs wrestle with each other in the pool, others are busy fixing up the family’s swing and slide set.
As for the mama bear, she nonchalantly supervises her cubs while lying in the cold rejuvenating water!

We love how each member of the Basso family has their own unique take on the bear’s visit in the background dialogue. Their little boy was happy at first but later got a little stressed about the bear cubs “stealing” his floaties. Dad seemed distraught to learn that the bears were probably digging holes in the pool.
However, Mom must have enjoyed witnessing the bear’s extraordinary adventure before her eyes.

Despite the general goodness of the bear family’s happy pool party, there is one moment that causes the Bassos to panic. The mama bear took the plugged in electric pool pump and started fiddling with it, even bringing it into the water.
Fortunately, the situation was brought under control and everyone is safe and sound! Keep your volume up for this fun clip!
