LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) – London Police Department officers are collecting donations for the second annual Logan Medlock Memorial Bass Fishing Tournament.
Sgt. Medlock was killed by a drunk driver in 2022.
LPD Public Affairs Officer Hobie Daugherty said they want to help support Medlock’s family in any way they can.
“Right now, we are still looking for donations for that. All earnings will go to the family,” he said.
Daugherty said people can donate items, money, or sign up to fish.
He said they can contact businesses to pick up the items as well.
Daugherty said the tournament is a way to keep his legacy alive.
“And really, it’s just about keeping his legacy alive and part of this community. He’s a huge part of the community, he’s known as a great guy here,” he explained.
The tournament is May 4 at the Grove Marina in Corbin with all proceeds going to Medlock’s family.
Daugherty said you can contact her or come to the police station to sign up or bring donations.
