People wonder if Nom Nom dog food is being recalled. Here’s what you need to know about the brand and whether or not the company will recall its dog food 2024or if there is nothing to worry about.
Is Nom Nom dog food recalled in 2024?
Contrary to some circulating speculations, at the time of writing, there is no recall of Nom Nom dog food.
That said, it’s important to note that wet dog food often has a slightly higher risk of contamination because it’s not reduced to a shelf-stable kibble form. However, Nom Nom has managed to uphold the strict quality standards with exceptional success. The brand’s focus on maintaining quality has given pet owners, particularly those concerned about their dogs’ nutrition, confidence in the brand’s products.
In fact, here’s what one dog parent had to say about the brand: “Since I’ve been using it, my dog literally dances every time I pull one of those packets out of their fridge and he sees it. So, to me, that’s the proof in the pudding. And I love the fact that NomNomNow uses fresh ingredients. And when I look at that dog food, I can actually see the meat and the vegetables, and I can tell what the ingredients are. [by] visually looking at it.” (via ConsumerAffairs)
When was the last Nom Nom pet food recall?
Although Nom Nom dog food has never been recalled, the company has only initiated one recall in its company history. This voluntary recall took place from July 8, 2021, to February 11, 2022, and is specific to their Chicken Cuisine recipe for cats.
The brand made the decision for the voluntary recall after Tyson Foods identified a contamination of some of its chicken products with Listeria monocytogenes, originating from a specific ingredient in the production process. Tyson Foods — headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas — is the world’s second-largest chicken processor and marketer.
Following these developments, Nom Nom implemented a recall for 105,540 pounds of its cat food. For more information, you can refer to the official FDA implementation report here.
