Can you believe it? The Dodgers are in the World Series this year, and they will be playing against the Yankees. It’s the twelfth time they’ve faced each other, but it’s also the first time since 1981!
Actually, my man doesn’t follow sports, and neither does his girlfriend. But at the beginning of the season, he got me this Dodger hat. So I thought I’d better put it up now.
Of course my man can’t just wear the hat. So he also ordered a Dodger shirt for me. And Dodger cat toys.
So I’m ready for the World Series! And while I’m sure my man will forget all about watching it, he does know a little baseball trivia since he grew up in Los Angeles. His parents were big fans of a Dodger pitcher named Sandy Koufax. And when the Dodgers took on the Yankees in the 1963 World Series, he was on that team. And they slaughtered the Yankees, 4-0, with Koufax named the Series MVP! That was one of only three times the Dodgers beat the Yankees in the World Series. The Yankees beat them eight.
