New Japan Pro Wrestling previously announced a cage match between The United Empire and The Bullet Club for ‘The New Beginning’ in Osaka event scheduled for February 11.
NJPW has now confirmed the rules for the upcoming cage match, which is essentially the same as WWE’s WarGames.

“Steel cage match rules for Osaka are official
David Finlay’s choice of rules set for a New Beginning
When Will Ospreay challenged David Finlay to settle the score between the War Dogs and United Empire on February 11 in Osaka, Finlay quickly demanded a steel cage for the blood feud between the two teams and for the final outing of Ospreay as part of the NJPW roster. What Finlay didn’t reveal at the time was the exact rules of the cage match, which is now official after backstage comments from the IWGP Global Champion this week at Korakuen Hall.
In a format similar to overseas tag team cage matches, the match begins as a singles contest, with a new member being added to the match every two minutes. Finlay declared that the War Dogs would have the advantage, his wrestlers making their entrance first and taking turns until all ten men were in the match. From that point, a pinfall or submission will decide the match.
Finlay asked Ospreay to start opposite him in Osaka, but time will tell; after Ospreay was out of action since January, the War Dogs gained a significant physical and mental advantage, and although Jeff Cobb, HENARE and Francesco Akira will all be part of the lineup as planned, the damage done to all three of the previous weeks saw the War Dogs at a distinct advantage on Sunday. Who can survive the steel cage?”
