Last year, Chewy gave discounts on items throughout their store. There is something in almost every category that is discounted. Each category has its own discounted rate. For example, food is 40% off, while treats are 50% off. However, each item has a specific discount as well.
While many items within each category get a discount, no all to them made. In some cases, the more “premium” brands are not discounted. Some brands have been completely abandoned for sale.
Whether these brands are too expensive for Chewy to discount or whether they have a deal with the manufacturer is hard to say. However, if you feed your animals rarer, premium food, chances are it won’t be discounted during big e-commerce sales like Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Medications are generally not covered., but Chewy has a small discount on flea and tick medications. However, it is lower than other categories. Veterinary diets are reduced by 25%. But, again, this discount is lower than other categories.
While we can’t promise that certain products are discounted, some products from the most popular categories are likely to be discounted. For example, you can bet that at least some foods and meals are discounted. Toys, beds, and other pet supplies are also likely to be discounted. Cat litter is a popular and discounted category. In fact, cat litter was one of the most discounted categories last year.
Unlike other online stores, Chewy usually does not have a limited number of items. Of course, you can’t buy out-of-stock items, which can happen during a shopping spree. However, they don’t have a set number of products available like Amazon, for example, usually does.
