Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Saugus kicked off its Operation Santa Paws drive on Dec. 1, which aims to collect pet supplies for donation to a local animal shelter.The skilled nursing facility, located at 73 Chestnut St., facilitated the collection of items such as blankets, towels, pet beds, unopened pet food and treats, toys, grooming products, collars, leashes , and food and water bowls until Dec. 22.Donations will go to the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, as part of the center’s effort to contribute to the welfare of animals in the community.
