With summer fast approaching, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) is reminding residents and visitors to make sure their fishing licenses are up to date. Commercial marine licenses, multipurpose licenses, shellfish over 65 licenses, and nonresident standard licenses are all due on Thursday, 29 February. DEM sends license renewal notices to license holders. If you can’t wait, you can renew your license online at DEM’s Rhode Island Outdoors licensing website, by mail, or in person at the DEM Office of Boat Registration and Licensing.
