Introduction 91 million households in the EU own a pet. That’s 46% of households (1). Our pets bring blessings we cherish and responsibilities to bear, but what is clear is the joy and companionship our pets bring to the lives of nearly half of EU households. Our pets are beloved family members, loyal companions, and sources of comfort.
