WASHINGTON — A federal campaign to stop the sale of food and pet food packaging containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) has ended in victory, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). OLATHE, KAN. — General Mills is set to build a new warehouse in Olathe servicing its Blue Buffalo pet nutrition division. On Feb. 20, the Olathe City Council approved an incentive package to support the construction of a nearly 730,000-square-foot warehouse on 57 acres of the I-35 Logistics Park off Old 56 Highway.The incentive package includes nearly $71.6 million in industry revenue bonds, which will cover the costs of land, buildings, furniture, fixtures and equipment, according to the council.
