Pennsylvania native Jim Britenbaugh was pre-fishing for a tournament on New York’s Cayuga lake on July 11 when he landed what would become a new state record largemouth bass. The behemoth northern-strain largemouth tipped the scales at 12.35 pounds at an official weigh-in by NYS Department of Conservation staff.
