Nestlé invests in pet-food production in Hungary Nestlé has announced another Ft55bn ($152.3m) investment for its Purina pet-food factory in Hungary. In October, the food giant announced that it was investing around Ft90bn to open two new production units at its Bük site, which would increase output by 66% annually from around 150,000 tonnes to 250,000 tonnes. According to Nestlé’s latest statement, the commissioning of the new factory unit will end a five-year development cycle that began in 2020, bringing the company’s total investment in the Bük factory to Ft300bn.
