Gov. announced Kathleen C. Hochul the schedule for New York’s 2024 Free Fishing Days, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy freshwater fishing without the need for a fishing license on certain designated days.The six designated Free Fishing Days include Feb. 17 and 18 (Presidents’ Day Sunday), June 29 and 30, Sept. 28 (National Hunting and Fishing Day), and Nov. 11 (Veterans Day).Individuals may engage in freshwater fishing activities on many New York lakes, ponds, streams and rivers on these designated days without the usual license requirements.”The Free Fishing program provides a great opportunity for aspiring anglers to try freshwater fishing…
