Frozen petfood startup Ted’s Bowl is making its debut this week, rolling out its entire portfolio to Ocado. From Friday (23 February), the British brand will offer seven microwavable frozen meals (rsps: £4.49-£4.59/300g) suitable for puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, kittens and adult cats. All foods feature human-grade meat, fish, or poultry – at least 70% for dogs and 98% for cats – with added vitamins and minerals. Lines for dogs also include seasonal British fruit and vegetables. Petfood subscription startup Marleybones is to expand its presence on the high street, launching at Whole Foods Market this week. The brand’s products for dogs are set to hit stores from Thursday (1 February). Dry treat duos Lamb, Hemp Seeds, Apple & Thyme and Chicken, Hawthorn, Carrot & Sage will join shelf-stable fresh treats Chic Nosh Chicken, Lush Nosh Lamb and Boss Nosh Beef. Burgess Pet Care has announced two key appointments aimed at strengthening its brand and market presence. Annabel Coleman joins as brand manager for Excel, the Burgess sub-brand for rabbits and guinea pigs, while Tom Mottram takes on the role of national account manager. Coleman was previously a junior brand manager at Ritter Sport. Earlier in her career, she worked at Pipers Crisps as brand & events marketing manager and Tita Bessie as assistant brand manager for new categories.
