Yorkshire-based pet food company Inspired Pet Nutrition (IPN) has announced an investment of over £30m in new technologies designed to significantly expand its technical capability, potential product range and capacity to its regional factories. IPN has invested more than £6m in its wet food facility which has more than doubled its capacity. The Kennel Club and Mars Petcare have joined forces to launch Partners in Petcare, a five-year partnership aimed at improving the experience of pets, pet owners and breeders. Pet treat supplier Sniffers Pet Care has secured £850k in follow-on funding from Traditum Private Equity, following an initial investment of £1.75m by the West Yorkshire based private equity house in September 2022. Sniffers, based near Halifax, provides natural pet treats for customers including Pets at Home and Jollyes under its challenger brand NAW, which was successfully launched in 2023.
