This cycle continues throughout the first chapter of the game as players become accustomed to the gameplay and comfortable with Dave’s daily routine, while also undertaking quests to advance its story. How to Unlock Night Fishing

Players can unlock night fishing on the first night after starting Chapter 2 on Dave is the Diver. The player receives a phonecall from Bancho, who exclaims that a “noisy customer” has arrived at the sushi bar and is raising a ruckus. Once Dave arrives at the restaurant, he encounters a character named Otto, who is concerned about a childhood favorite, Moray Eel Curry.

Otto explains that he wants to experience this culinary delight again and offers a side mission, “A Loud Customer.” Accepting this side mission will unlock night fishing, as the Moral Eel can only be seen at night. Once the player has unlocked night fishing, he can choose to dive at night instead of working at the restaurant.

About Night Catchable Fish

In addition to the Moray Eel, there are many other fish and sea creatures that players may only encounter while fishing at night. Various fish will also appear during the day, but occasionally players will have to skip their shift at the sushi bar to head underwater to get some rare delicacies.

Star Ratings

The rarity of a fish should not be confused with its star rating on the Marinca collection list, as this rating only refers to the condition of the fish when it was caught. The condition of the fish usually depends on the tool or weapon used to catch the fish. Therefore, players looking to fill their Marinca collection with all three-star cards will want to use specific methods when catching each fish. Fortunately, the Marinca list will update to always show the highest star rating card for each entry. Star ratings on Dave is the Diver are assigned the following criteria:

• 1-Star: The fish was killed before it was caught.
• 2-Star: The fish was damaged before it was caught.
• 3-Star: The fish was caught unharmed.
