Soldiers are selfless, brave people who put their lives on the line to protect our country. Servicemen and military women leave their homes, sometimes for years. They leave behind family, friends, and their pets to make sure our country is safe. A soldier named Hannah is in boot camp when she is finally granted leave for the holidays. He made the difficult journey home, expecting the happy faces of his family. Hannah lives with many animals, including an old Golden Retriever. The puppy missed Hannah so much that she wasn’t sure if she would be back before it was time to cross the Rainbow Bridge.
When Hannah got out of the car and walked down the driveway, the pup, despite her age, knew it was her person. He knocked on the door, begging to be let out to greet her. The two reunited emotionally after a while. Their reunion is what pure love looks like. Hannah dropped to the ground, eager to care for her puppy, and he lay with his head in her lap. He continued to sit up and looked at her to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. His man was indeed there!
Hannah spoke to him as the old man cried and moaned. She tells him that she’s been waiting for him to come back and it hurts her that he’s been away for so long. The video is incredibly emotional.
