The 10th Annual Stew & Brew is set to take place on Saturday, March 9, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. This beloved community event promises a delightful fusion of delicious fish stew and refreshing brews, all for a good cause.
Organized by Mother Earth Brewing and GI Joe’s Military “Living History” Museum, the event invites attendees to indulge in a variety of fish stew creations while enjoying live music provided by The Wicked Shimmies.
“Join us for the 10th Annual Stew & Brew! Whether you enjoy eating fish stew or want to show off your version of the classic Carolina fish stew, come on out!” expressed Destiny Atienza, Manager of the Tap Room at Mother Earth.
Stew & Brew serves not only as a celebration of culinary delights but as a way to support worthy causes. According to Atienza, “The event is put on to raise money for GI Joes and SALUTE.”
Eric Cantu, a local veteran who recently passed away was remembered as one of Mother Earth Brewing’s best customers. He continues to be a driving force behind the event’s mission. “He made an impact on everything on Mother Earth,” Atienza remarked.
Those interested in participating in the event as cooking teams or sponsors are encouraged to contact Carol Cantu at [email protected]. Tickets for the event cost $10 per person, which includes unlimited stew samples and a beer ticket.
