According to a report by Mid Day, When accused, Mayur was asked to explain why he hurt the pet, he said that the pet was aggressive and while he was yelling at the dog, it bit him. However, when he was asked to show the bite marks, he said that the incident happened on February 7 so the injuries had healed.
The police suspect it was a publicity-seeking act
As per the Mid Day report, police said, “we suspect the act was to seek publicity on social media which is the trend nowadays. Such people upload negative videos without thinking about the impact. But the more painful our laws only allow. a NC for such cases, with almost no punishment. How can we give justice to innocent animals if laws do not support us? Amendment of PCA Act is necessary. “
