The HerdWhistle™ MiniEye allows pet owners to take infrared pictures of their companion animals, such as cats or dogs, using their Android phones. The app then analyzes these images to reveal the animal’s heat level, providing a unique, non-invasive method for early detection of danger.

HerdWhistle Technologies has long been focused on the industrial livestock industry and continues to advance our multi-species product offering for cattle. In our discussions with livestock producers; all include animals, cats, dogs, horses and more. The question we hear repeatedly from the industry is will our technology work with companion animals as well as pets. We’re launching our open beta of MiniEye for smart phones to answer this question. Starting today, our MiniEye is available on the Google PlayStore for download; look for the HerdWhistle. Later this summer we will have an iphone version available to take thermal images of your companion animals. We expect to have health analytics available from all smart phones this fall.
