New Delhi: Pet care startup Papa Pawsome has raised $400,000 in seed funding led by Indian Angel Network (IAN), it said in a media release on Monday.
Other investors from IAN like Ajay Rajgarhia, KRS Jamwal, Jayant Mehrotra and Rohit Rajput also participated in this round.
Funds raised will be instrumental in scaling operations, expanding offerings, and enhancing the overall customer experience. The capital infusion will also accelerate the development of innovative products, ensuring that Papa Pawsome remains at the forefront of the evolving pet care landscape, the startup said.
Nishita Agarwal, co-founder of the company said, “This funding will help Papa Pawsome realize its vision of becoming the platform for pet parents looking for quality and convenient pet care solutions.”
As urbanization accelerates and the DINK (Double Income, No Kids) population grows, along with a higher desire to be together after the pandemic, dog adoption has become an existing trend, the company shared.

“The pet industry is growing rapidly after the pandemic and will become the next baby care industry (the industry does not create babies. Papa Pawsome is a D2C brand offering natural care products of pet that meet the evolving needs of pet parents and they are building a strong community of Fur Mom and Fur Dad,” said Ajay Rajgarhia, Lead Investor.
Currently, the company has 25 SKUs ranging from hygiene essentials such as shampoos, serums, massage oils, training sprays to grooming services.
