In a disturbing incident that occurred in Southampton, a man entrusted with the care of a dog tried inappropriately intercourse with the pet. The heinous act, caught on camera, was observed by the pet owner’s minor son leading to dog keepercapture and trial by.
Graham Robinson, the dog sitter in question, was seen trying to have sex with a six-year-old Great Dane.
Robinson, 52, from Hythe, Hampshire, UK, was under the impression that the Southampton home he managed had no surveillance. He ignored the fact that the homeowner had installed a security camera to watch over their property while they were away.
In a disturbing turn of events, the homeowner’s daughter, a 12-year-old minor, happened upon the untoward scene, as reported by the Daily Mail. He was watching the footage on his mobile when he saw Robinson’s shameful action with the dog.
As the court heard, the owners set the camera to continuously record to monitor the house. Their discovery led to shock and dismay when they saw the defendant engaging in a lewd act with the pet. According to prosecutor Tom Wilkins, the act was “clearly” visible in the video footage.
Robinson pleaded guilty to charges of attempted intercourse with a live animal. His reason, as stated by the probation service, was that he was under the influence of alcohol and cannabis on the day of the incident.
Speaking for himself in court, a remorseful Robinson expressed his shock at his actions. However, Judge Nicholas Rowland deemed Robinson’s actions a gross breach of trust, condemning it as “an abomination.”
While the judge was close to handing down a prison sentence, he later agreed to a two-year community order. This includes Robinson completing 200 hours of unpaid work and 40 days of rehabilitation activity.
