Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed Wednesday night that he often feeds his grandchildren the same oatmeal cookies he feeds his animals.
According to the “Terminator” star, her granddaughters, Lyla and Eloise, lined up with her assorted horses, dogs, her trusted donkey and even a pig to receive the tasty snack, which was later revealed by actor who was really meant to be eaten by horses.
Schwarzenegger, 76, revealed in an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that the lineup happens whenever his daughter Katherine, who married Marvel actor Chris Pratt in 2019, brings the girls at his residence in California.
“When Katherine comes with my grandchildren, then they line up,” Schwarzenegger told Jimmy Fallon.
“So I give Lulu a cookie, then I give Dutch a cookie. I give Schnitzel a cookie. I give the pig a cookie, and the two girls there are like animals,” Schwarzenegger explained, prompting Fallon, 49, to start cracking up.
The former bodybuilder says being a grandfather is “amazing.”
“So Katherine and Chris [Pratt]his wife, they come to the house at least once a week, “Schwarzenegger said to Fallon. “And then I play with the animals with them. We have fun. I put them behind the little donkey. And then somebody wanted to ride a pig. I said, ‘No, you’re not riding a pig.'”
Katherine gave birth to her first child, Lyla, in August 2020 before Eloise gave birth nearly two years later.
“How many animals do you have?” asked the late-night television host.
“I have three dogs, Cherry, I call her Noodle, she’s the little one. She’s 15 years old,” he said. “Then I have Dutch, which is Malamute. Then I have Schnitzel, who is a wonderful big female, big monster dog. Then I have a little horse, little pony, Lulu and Whiskey, which is a little pony.”
“Those animals are just amazing and the pig, which is a new addition,” he gushes. “We have had the pig for almost a year and that pig is really funny. And he likes to eat.”
According to the former politician, his day starts with all the animals lining up to get the cookie.
“They all come to the kitchen, and I feed them every day, every morning oatmeal cookies,” Schwarzenegger laughed.
Picking up on the joke, Fallon said the actor should write a children’s book about it.
Schwarzenegger’s appearance on the talk show comes after reports that the former actor was detained at a German airport after failing to declare a watch he intended to sell at an auction while at customs.
According to German newspaper Bild, the star is being held by authorities after they found the Swiss brand Audemars Piguet wristwatch in Schwarzenegger’s luggage during an inspection.
“We have initiated criminal tax proceedings,” Thomas Meister, a spokesman for the customs office, told the outlet. “The watch must be registered as it is an import.”
Schwarzenegger was detained for nearly three hours and was not asked for any forms regarding the watch, which is reportedly worth more than $21,000.
“He was never asked to fill out a declaration form and he honestly answered every question from the customs officials,” a source told The Post. “He cooperated every step of the way even though it was an incompetent shakedown, a total comedy of errors that would make a funny cop movie.”
After a long interrogation during which the actor was allegedly asked some personal questions, he was allowed to leave.
