The $16 million investment aims to improve efficiency, sustain nutrients, and create more than 100 local jobsthe Victorian government said in a news release.
The state-of-the-art facility features advanced production lines and automated equipment, the first of its kind in Australia.

Lyka Pet Food, which operates through an eCommerce platform, is known for providing fresh, sustainable, and human-grade food for pets.
The new facility is poised to become a cornerstone for the local supply chain, with Lyka Pet Food committed to sourcing ingredients from regional suppliers.
This scheme is expected to inject millions of dollars into Victoria’s supply chain partners, benefiting agricultural producers and logistics providers in the region.
As pet ownership increases, with 69 percent of households now embracing furry family members, the expansion of Lyka Pet Food is in line with the growing demand for high-quality pet nutrition.
Victoria, which boasts the country’s largest and most established food and beverage manufacturing sector worth approximately $40 billion, stands to gain not only economically but also in job creation, with more with 77,000 people working in the sector.
