Upon receiving a request to help a terminally ill person by caring for their sick dog, a group of dedicated animal rescuers immediately responded, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to welfare of animals However, upon arriving at the location, they were met with unexpected resistance. They discovered Lazarus, the dog, locked in a barn, a situation that continued for six years.
Rescuers faced significant challenges accessing the stall, mainly due to a large build-up of dirt and debris that effectively sealed the entrance.

When they arrived at the stall, the two women were horrified to see how bad the dog’s condition was. Lazarus’ coat was so dirty that it was difficult for him to move. Lazarus was immediately taken to a groomer for a bath and haircut. At first, the dog refused to have its handlers cut its hair. He quickly realized how good it felt when he did that.

Lazarus shed about 33 pounds of fur, and he looks like a new pet. Unfortunately, the dog had a hard time keeping the fact that he was freed. Jessica Kincheloe, the organizer who rescued Lazarus, said she was very suspicious of everyone.
Later, another dog approached the man. He was given goodies and quickly warmed up to everyone. He is obviously not used to human contact. It had possibly been years since she had felt a gentle, caring touch.
