Meet the Angling Scotland Team @ The GAC Open Weekend |
English Scotland was formed in 2017 to provide an umbrella structure for the existing Angling Governing Bodies for Game, Coarse and Sea angling in Scotland. The discipline’s three governing bodies, SANA, SFCA and SFSA have been working in partnership for many years through the Angling Development Board of Scotland (ADBoS). By forming Angling Scotland and providing a formal structure to bring together the forces of the Scottish Governing Bodies for Game, Coarse and Sea Angling and their members, their vision is to provide greater opportunity and better that support, protection and effective administrative management to all fishermen in Scotland. Key stakeholders include the Scottish Government, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, Local Councils, Educational Bodies, Fisheries’ Boards and Trusts and the Fishing Tackle trade.
Gus Brindle – SFCA and Angling Scotland |
The SFCA is the Scottish Governing Body for the sport of Coarse Angling. It was founded in the early 1970’s and is dedicated to protecting coarse fish in Scotland and providing equal opportunities for everyone to take part and enjoy the sport of coarse angling in a safe and responsible way. They run programs and courses to increase the number of recreational anglers, run competitions and provide training to increase the number of UKCC coaches needed to help individuals develop within the sport . The SFCA aims to engage stakeholders from across the spectrum of the angling sector on issues affecting coarse angling.
Every day the SFCA works for the future of Scottish fishing, but they need your support to continue to do this, and to further develop the sport of Coarse Angling in Scotland. Please give us this support by becoming a member and joining online today. Click here to join now – http://www.sfca.co.uk/membership/
