LAS VEGAS — The World Pet Association (WPA) has officially opened general registration for SUPERZOO 2024, where more than 1,000 new products are expected to grace the expansive show floor. The pet industry tradeshow, held annually at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, will take place Aug. 14 to 16, with educational sessions beginning Aug. 13.
Last year’s show attracted more than 18,000 attendees spanning all 50 United States and 84 countries. In 2024, the WPA hopes to build on the experience and solidify the event’s status as “the largest and most inclusive event in North America.”
“SUPERZOO is the hub where the pet industry comes together to conduct business, foster connections, and stay ahead of trends,” said Mike Karsting, WPA senior vice president. “Building on the success of 2023, this year’s event is poised to enhance the industry experience, cementing its status as the leading platform for shaping the future of pet retail through product exploration, education and networking.”
The New Product Showcase is expected to be a highlight at the 2024 tradeshow, with exhibitors set to showcase more than 1,000 new products spanning the gamut of pet care categories, including foods, treats and supplements .
In addition to the New Product Showcase, more than 80 up-and-coming pet industry companies will be exhibiting in the Emerging Brands section of the show floor.
Networking opportunities are another draw at SUPERZOO 2024. In addition to networking on the show floor, WPA will once again host the SUPERZOO Beach Party at Mandalay Bay Beach on Thursday, August 15, with music, hors d’oeuvres, and happy hour.
SUPERZOO 2024 will feature more than 65 educational sessions covering pet retail and grooming topics, including business planning, consumer trends, data-driven decision making and marketing tactics. income General registrants will be able to add educational sessions and grooming contests to their badges starting Feb. 21 at 9 am Pacific.
Paying homage to SUPERZOO’s origins as a pet grooming tradeshow, the 2024 event will also feature a range of grooming competitions for styling professionals of all experience levels. More than $35,000 in prizes will be awarded in various categories, including Best First-Time Competitor, Best International Competitor, and Best Pet Stylist in Show, as well as awards for specific breed classes and special contests, such as Creative Styling Competition and Abstract. Design Challenge.
