Fairfield, CT – The Town of Fairfield’s Office of Community & Economic Development is pleased to announce the official grand opening of Shampooch Pet Grooming Salon, located at 2244 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield. The Town of Fairfield’s Community and Economic Development Director, Mark Barnhart, and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce President, Beverly Balaz, joined owners Josephine O’Meara and Craig Sharpe to celebrate the grand opening their business in Fairfield with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, May 22.
Shampooch Pet Grooming Salon is a full-service salon for dogs and cats. Clients are encouraged to walk around upon arrival to view their new facility where their pets will be groomed. They also welcome older dogs and cats. Owners, Josephine O’Meara and Craig Sharpe, say, “What sets us apart from most salons is our stalls are in the middle of our grooming room. Having the stalls allows it’s up to us to keep an eye on your fur babies all day without putting them down and keeping them most comfortable inside a clean space.”
O’Meara added, “We have always loved the Town of Fairfield because we service other pets within this community and nearby towns while working as mobile groomers for other companies. We were excited to pursue our own business and thought Fairfield was the best fit for us. The Town of Fairfield is a very active community with great shopping, restaurants and entertainment in the local area and we want to be a part of it.”
