The Morris Animal Foundation and Nestlé Purina PetCare have concluded a new partnership dedicated to ongoing research aimed at extending the lives of dogs. The collaboration focuses on deepening scientific understanding of key areas affecting older dogs, including healthy aging, longevity, body condition and osteoarthritis.
As part of this collaboration, Nestlé Purina scientists will use data from the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study to discover new ways to understand canine aging and use advanced nutrition to improve care for the growing population of older dogs . By working together, the Morris Animal Foundation, and Nestlé Purina hope to make new discoveries that could lead to breakthrough nutritional interventions that will improve and extend the healthy years of senior dogs.
“Partnering with Purina marks another important moment in our work to advance dog health,” said Ryan Welch, Interim President and CEO of the Morris Animal Foundation. “Our goal is nothing short of improving dog health to ensure a brighter future for dogs everywhere.”
