GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — A rescue shelter in Gonzales will be forced to close its pet food pantry if it doesn’t receive donations soon.
In a Facebook post Monday, the Rescue Alliance said it had to close the Louisiana Pet Food Bank and asked the community to help save the program.
“We are reaching out to our community in this time of need, asking for your support to keep this important program running. Your donations, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference in the lives of loved ones pets and their families,” the Rescue Alliance said in the post.
Monetary donations can be made through PayPal, but the shelter also has items that can be purchased and shipped through Amazon.
Rescue Alliance is located at 12484 Hwy. 44. See animals for adoption.

Dear friends and supporters,
It is with heavy hearts that we share some difficult news. Due to the lack of donations coming to the Louisiana Pet Food Bank, we are faced with the heartbreaking decision to close this important program. The Pet Food Bank has become a lifeline for so many furry companions in need, providing food and support to families facing financial hardship.
We is deeply grateful for the impact of this program and the countless lives it has touched. However, without your generous donations, we would not be able to support the Pet Food Bank and continue our mission to help those in need.
We are reaching out to our community in this time of need, asking for your support to keep this important program running. Your donations, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference in the lives of beloved pets and their families.
Please consider making a donation today to help us save the Louisiana Pet Food Bank. Together, we can ensure that no pet goes hungry and no family is forced to make difficult choices.
