For more than 50 years, Clark’s Pet Emporium has been a go-to place for pet supplies in Albuquerque. Offering a wide range of services, pet food, aquariums, and even pets themselves, Clark’s is a local store that has it all.
Exercise is an important element of living a healthy lifestyle, and this applies to pets as well. Clark’s has the latest pet toys at great prices to keep your pets entertained and in shape. However, with the arrival of summer heat, it is very important to monitor the temperature to ensure that your pets stay safe. Clark suggests the following tips to keep your pets safe in the heat:
- Don’t leave your pet in the car – even with the windows down.
- If the asphalt is too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for your pet’s paws.
- Make sure playful pets don’t overexercise in the heat.
- Always provide access to fresh water.
Another way to keep your pets safe is vaccination. Clark’s Pet Emporium offers pet vaccinations at its shot clinic. For dogs, the clinic offers rabies, distemper parco, bordetella, parco, and corona vaccinations; for cats, the clinic offers rabies and distemper vaccinations. The shot clinic will be open Sunday, June 2, and Sunday, June 16, from 1 pm to 4 pm both days at the store’s Lomas Boulevard location.
In an effort to give back to the community, Clark’s is teaming up with the Rio Rapids 09 Boys ECNL Soccer Club for its fundraising golf tournament. The tournament will be held on Friday, June 14, with an 8 am start at Twin Warriors Golf Club. To find out more about the golf tournament, click here.
