There are several announcements at pet care facilities in the first quarter of 2024. This list is not comprehensive.
1. Hollywood Feed
Hollywood Feed, a Tennessee-based pet store chain, has opened a new location in Cypress. The pet supply store offers pet retail services, including same-day delivery, curbside pickup and pet grooming as well as pet food, treats and supplies.
2. Dogtopia
Dogtopia opens in Vintage Park. The franchise location offers dog boarding, day care and grooming services, according to the business’ website. Dogtopia provides dogs with an off-leash environment for half- or full-day care, and overnight and long-term boarding.
3. PetSuites of America
PetSuites of America offers a variety of pet services at over 80 locations. According to a news release from the company, its newest locations are in the Houston area. Its new locations in Cypress and Kingwood offer grooming, day care and customizable training services as well as pet parent access to webcams and 24/7 online booking options and mobile pet parent portal, according to the release.
4. Pet Evolution
Officials with Pet Evolution have opened a new location in Cypress. It offers pet food and treats, full-service grooming and self-serve dog washes as well as a mobile nail trim service.
5. Animal ER of Northwest Houston
After serving the community for 10 years as the owner of Animal ER of Northwest Houston, Jennifer Hennessey sold the business to her colleague, Michelle Winthrow, effective Feb. 20. According to a statement from the business, Hennessey will continue to work occasional shifts as he “spends more time on [her] second home state, Alaska.” Winthrow joined the staff a year and a half ago as an emergency room veterinarian and served as the clinic’s medical director before becoming the owner, officials said. Animal ER of Northwest Houston is open 24/7 to offer diagnostic services as well as emergency care and management for pets.
