You don’t have much not allowed shop at IKEA – from a free-standing flatpack wardrobe to a colorful lamp. But one thing cat and dog owners will notice is missing is a range of pet accessories. But that’s not the case as a range of animal beds, bowls and other household items are being launched in a dedicated pet collection at IKEA.
The UTSÅDD range has been carefully designed around the four things cats and dogs love – sleeping, eating, playing and hiding in peace. It includes pretty much any and all essentials a pet owner could need, whether they’re new to having an animal sidekick or looking to upgrade a few items with a little IKEA hack.

Two years in the making, the UTSÅDD range includes 29 different products, which IKEA says are all created with our pets’ natural behaviors and preferences in mind.
Safety also seems to have become a top priority. IKEA explains that the new collection has been put together with advice from both vets and pet product experts, meaning the items are designed to work in a way that is beneficial for both pets and owners. this.
‘We develop protocols and risk assessments based on our research, reviews of previous pet collections, and input from our veterinary partners and pet product experts. Our protocols include periodic chemical, mechanical and physical safety checks on all UTSÅDD products,’ explains Julia Rosenberg, Product Design Developer at IKEA of Sweden AB.

One of the most important things for our furry friends is a comfortable and safe place to sleep, and IKEA has created a cozy looking pet for just £12, which comes in four different sizes, and is both waterproof of water and can be machine washed, in case of any accidents, or snoozes at the end of a wet muddy walk!
They have also designed a number of different cat houses, allowing our cats to retreat somewhere private in peace – choose from a £13 tipi, a tent style house, a £55 wicker house on legs , or a material, box-shaped house that should fit neatly into a Kallax unit for just £5.
There are also plenty of goodies for dogs, including some simple toys made from natural rubber and fabric, which IKEA explains are ‘carefully designed to be strong and sturdy, yet gentle on teeth and gums.’

For those in need of dinnertime items, the UTSÅDD collection also includes a pet bowl and a mat for use under the bowl, which looks super sleek and monochrome.
The mat, which will set you back just £1.50, is made with anti-slip fabric, and the ceramic bowl, available from £3, is heavy enough to keep your pet from moving while they eat, as well also being dishwasher safe. cleaning – all this will allow you to keep the house clean with pets!
The collection is also generally muted in color tones, with most items consisting of light blue, green and beige colors, to create a calm environment for your cat or dog.

Unfortunately, all of these goodies aren’t available in stores or online until April, so there’s still a little time to wait.
