COLUMBUS—Those who want to help feed the local pet population now have another chance. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is holding a pet food collection drive to support local animals in need.
The sheriff’s office is currently accepting donations of 15-pound or 30-pound unopened bags of dry dog food.
“Can you provide pet food?” The PCSO said on its social media profile. “Help keep at-risk pets from going hungry.”
Individuals or organizations can drop off food donations at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, located at 164 Government Complex Drive in Columbus. For more information, call the PCSO at (828) 894-3001.
