Philanthropist and country music legend Dolly Parton left pet owners everywhere swooning last year with the launch of her pet accessory line, Doggy Parton. Jolene may be trying to steal her man, but we’re stealing all of her country pup looks from her new dog wardrobe line. The pet collection went on sale on Amazon and sold out lightning fast. Now, Parton is bringing back Doggy Parton and relaunching the collection at Petco.
As you can imagine, the collection is as fascinating as Dolly herself. The drop consists of a Dolly-inspired dog costume (including a blonde dog wig!), a guitar-shaped plush toy, and a cowgirl-inspired outfit—there’s even a bubblegum-pink fur-rimmed cowgirl hat (can she make one of these for people ? Because I kind of need it.)
As is typical of Dolly’s undying generosity, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Willa B Farms Animal Sanctuary, a grassroots nonprofit in Dolly’s home state of Tennessee.
“’Puppy Love’ was my very first record and six decades later, my love for pets is stronger than ever. It inspired me to start my own line of Doggy Parton clothing, accessories, toys, and more with a little ‘Dolly’ flair,” Parton said in a press release in 2022. “A portion of the proceeds will will support Willa B Farms, a rescue where animals in need find endless love. Don’t we all need that?” Yes, yes, we do.
